Their are loads of different foods available to taste at these festivals. So how do you find the best ones? I personally think we should be searching out some of the weirder food festivals that are a bit out of the norm! They celebrate everything surrounding the lobster. You can enjoy all sorts of games, entertainment and contests there including the very weird tuna tossing competition. Chinchilla is the biggest supplier of melons in Australia and to celebrate this they hold this crazy festival where everything and everyone is melon mad. It dates back to the 1940\u2019s and 50\u2019s when young men who were fighting in the town started throwing vegetables at each other and so the tradition began of throwing tomatoes. The festival is now held on the last Wednesday in August in Bunol, Valencia. There is everything on offer from Crocodile steaks to grubs and beetles. At this festival they carve large radishes into sculptures of mainly nativity scenes and saints to celebrate the coming of Christ.
