This time, he is releasing a new video advocating the legalization of pot.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/d8AuMOGx_KY?showinfo=0&amp;ps=docs&amp;iv_load_policy=3&amp;modestbranding=1\" width=\"550\" height=\"309\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The original song made jokes about making poor decisions because of weed, but the positive remix above takes a different approach, mentioning numerous\u00a0advantages of legalizing marijuana. &#8220;I had problems with glaucoma\/But then I got high\/Smelled the cannibis aroma\/And I got high\/Glaucoma getting better and I know why,&#8221; sings Afroman.<\/p>\n<p>Afroman goes on singing about\u00a0how states like\u00a0Colorado are bringing in lots of revenue of the new laws.\u00a0&#8220;They built a school or two\/Because I got high,&#8221; sings Afroman.<\/p>\n<p>The rapper teamed up with <a href=\"https:\/\/weedmaps.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Weedmaps<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.norml.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">NORML<\/a>,\u00a0the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws, to\u00a0raise awareness for the November elections where some states have\u00a0legalization initiatives on the ballot.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nearly 13\u00a0years after the release of \u201cBecause I Got High,\u201d Afroman is back in the spotlight\u00a0with a &#8220;positive&#8221; remix of his hit song.
