Artist Willard Wigan<\/a> born June 1957 in Birmingham specializes in nano sculpture needle eye sized art.<\/p>\n

Wigan began creating his micro sculptures at the age of five!<\/p>\n

He is the world’s most renowned microscopic artist, and started making houses for ants because he thought they needed somewhere to live, then he made them shoes and hats, because, why not?! He says “It was a fantasy world I escaped to where my dyslexia didn’t hold me back and my teachers couldn’t criticize me”.<\/p>\n

His sculptures are\u00a0small enough to fit on the head of a pin. You will need a magnifying glass to check out his work in person.<\/p>\n

Wigan does his works using tiny homemade tools such as a shard of diamond attached to a pin for cutting or the wing of a dead housefly to use it as a paint brush.<\/p>\n
