Creative Street Art From Empty Tin Cans

by Surveer

Metal is one of the few materials that doesn’t get downcycled in the recycling process. That means that, unlike something like plastic, metal doesn’t lose quality in the recycling process. You can recycle it over and over. It seems a shame to throw away such a sturdy little can, but what can you do with all those empty food storage cans?

British street artist performing under the pseudonym My Dog Sighs, paints portraits on the used cans from canned foods and beverages.

He finds a discarded bank, creates out of it and leaves a funny little man somewhere in a conspicuous place.

Still, recycling takes energy — it has to make it to the recycling center, and then it has to be processed into a new metal product.
